Yoga sandals are based on the design of flip-flops. However, traditional flip-flops only have one thong. This sandal has four thongs.

Yoga sandals are designed so that the foot will not slide around in the shoe. In addition, the arch provides extra support for the foot and there is instep relief provided by the slope. Yoga sandals also assist with posture and balance by helping to align the foot bones and muscles.

Yoga sandals typically cost more than traditional sandals. You can find a pair for approximately $40-$50. There are also upscale fashion models that cost as much as $150.
