These tools enhance your workout by isolating certain movements and muscle groups and/or offering resistance training.
Grip blocks are yoga equipment designed to alleviate the joint pain in hands commonly caused by the yoga pose “downward dog”. These blocks help prevent wrist injuries by bearing the weight of the body (instead of your wrists doing the work). They also expand and challenge your range of yoga postures.
Straps offer resistance training, and deeper and more challenging stretches. Yoga balls are yoga equipment designed to massage and de-stress. Whatever equipment you choose, it’s important to correctly know how to use it before trying to put it in your daily routine. An instructor, book, DVD, or video usually accompanies such purchases.
