The most durable yoga mat very well may be made by Manduka. If price equals durability, then Manduka is almost certainly the most durable.

Whereas most yoga mats cost less than $30, there are many Manduka mats that cost two or three times as much as a normal mat would cost. Despite this, people often do not mind paying the extra money because they consider Manduka to be the most durable yoga mat manufacturer.

Manduka markets these mats as being able to last for as long as they will be used. Latex is not used in these mats, but there is a small amount of polyvinyl chloride used. This substance is useful in keeping the mats durable for a long time.

One of the reasons why this mat is considered to be a durable yoga mat is because it has both a top as well as a bottom side. The top side is designed to hold up to the wear and tear placed upon it by the person performing the yoga. The bottom side is designed to stay flat and not bunch up during exercise.

Another factor that contributes to this mat being a durable yoga mat is the fact that these mats are thick enough to be able to not wear away slowly as some other mats do. Many yoga instructors choose to use these mats thanks to the longevity of which they can be used.
