After
cleaning your yoga mat, it is important that you do not work out on
it again until you have a dry yoga mat. There are different ways to
clean these mats. Some people choose to do a daily cleaning on a fairly
regular basis, a medium cleaning from time to time, and a deep clean
once every few weeks.
When doing the daily cleaning, you should spray a cleanser three
times into a wet cloth or paper towel and scrub. The mat should be
wiped down with a clean cloth. Then let it air dry. The medium cleaning
is similar, but instead of spraying the cleaner onto a towel, it should
be sprayed directly onto the mat, rinsed, wiped dry, and air-dried.
For the deepest clean, the mat should be sprayed and then soaked
for three minutes. Leave the mat out in the air to dry until you have
a dry yoga mat. The mat needs to be completely dry before it is stored.
